Dedicated to discovering and encouraging a serious love of dance in students of all ages, our full year session will culminate
in a Year-End Performance on Saturday, June 12 at the Orion Performing Arts Center in Topsham!
Priority Registration for current students will run from July 27 through August 2.
General Registration for new students will begin on August 3.

ELEMENTARY 1 (AGES 5 - 7)
Tap: Elementary 1 Mondays 4:15 - 4:45
In this energetic 30-minute class, young dancers explore the joy of making music with their feet! Students build foundational tap vocabulary, develop a sense of rhythm, and get a taste of improvisation - all while learning about the rich American roots of tap dance. It's a fun and creative way to make some noise! (7 year olds with no prior experience are recommended to take this class).
Ballet: Elementary 1 Thursdays 4:15 - 4:45
This 30-minute class introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of ballet in a fun and supportive environment. Students will learn simple warm-ups, basic ballet positions, and age-appropriate technique while building coordination, musicality, and confidence through imaginative movement and playful practice. (Students who are 7 and have no prior experience are recommended to take this class).
Modern: Elementary 1 Wednesdays 4:15 - 4:45
This 30-minute class introduces young movers to the expressive world of modern dance! We’ll explore the basics of movement - body, energy, space, and time - through creative exercises, storytelling, and age-appropriate technique. With room for imagination and play, students begin to build the skills of modern dance. (7 year olds with no prior experience are recommended to take this class).
ELEMENTARY 2 (AGES 7 - 9)
Tap: Elementary 2 Thursdays 4:45 - 5:30
This 45-minute class builds on tap basics with more intricate rhythms and choreographic sequences, expanded vocabulary, and increased musical awareness. Dancers continue to develop clarity of sound, increase their technical knowledge, and strengthen their improvisation skills, all while deepening their understanding of tap’s rich cultural history through footage study and discussion. Perfect for students with at least one year of tap experience or returning dancers ready for the next challenge!
Ballet: Elementary 2 Wednesdays 4:00 - 4:45
This 45-minute class builds on the basics of ballet learned in the previous level, while still being a good entry point for new students. Dancers will be introduced and guided along beginning ballet barre and center exercises, all while nurturing artistry, confidence, and a continued love of movement in an age-appropriate and supportive environment. (7 year olds who have no dance experience are recommended to take Elementary 1).
Modern: Elementary 2 Mondays 4:30 - 5:15
This 45-minute class builds on the fundamentals of modern learned in the previous level while still being a great starting point for new dancers. With an increased focus on technique, improvisation, and choreography, students learn to move with intention and expressiveness while building strength, flexibility, and confidence. (7 year-olds with no prior dance experience are encouraged to begin with Elementary 1.)
JUNIOR (AGES 10 - 13 )
Tap: Junior Thursdays 4:45 - 6:45
This 60-minute class expands upon the skills learned in Elementary level classes, and challenges pre-teen dancers to expand their tap vocabulary, refine their technique, and strengthen their rhythmic skills. Dancers work on clarity of sound, musicality, and more complex choreographic combinations through structured rudimental exercises while also exploring improvisation and the rich cultural history of tap through footage viewing and discussion. With a focus on both precision and creativity, this class helps dancers build confidence, artistry, and a strong connection to the music.
Ballet: Junior Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:00
This 60-minute class builds on the foundational ballet skills learned in previous levels. Dancers will develop greater strength, alignment, precision, and artistry through structured barre, center, and traveling combinations. As technique becomes more refined, students will gain confidence while fostering a deeper appreciation for the art of ballet.
Modern: Junior 1 (ages 10-11) Mondays 5:45 - 6:45
In this lively 60-minute class, dancers get to explore the freedom and creativity of modern dance while building strength, coordination, and confidence. Through technical combinations, improvisation, and age-appropriate choreography, students learn to express themselves through movement and develop their own unique style. With a mix of modern techniques and playful exploration, this class helps dancers discover the joy of dancing with both intention and imagination!
Modern: Junior 2 (ages 11 - 13) Tuesdays 4:15 - 5:15
In this lively and challenging class, dancers will expand upon the technique learned in the previous level, while enjoying the freedom and creativity of modern dance. Through technical combinations, improvisation, and age-appropriate choreography, students learn to express themselves through movement and develop their own unique style while engaging with both the rich history and exciting frontiers of modern dance.
SENIOR 1 (AGES 13 - 14)
Modern: Senior 1 Tuesdays 4:30 - 5:45
Designed for dancers ready to take the next step in their training, this 75-minute class builds on modern and contemporary dance foundations through technique, improvisation, and choreography. Dancers develop greater strength, musicality, and expressive movement while exploring creative problem-solving and performance quality. Students are encouraged to take artistic risks, collaborate with their peers, and grow in confidence as emerging performers. (This class is required for dancers participating in Troupe: Senior 1).
Troupe: Senior 1 Tuesdays 5:45 - 6:30
This 45-minute add-on class offers young teen dancers an opportunity to learn, rehearse and perform additional choreography as part of our Moving Company Dance Troupe - dancers will participate in various community performances through-out the year, and in our Year End Performance. Dancers must also be enrolled in Modern: Senior 1, and at least 1 year of dance experience is strongly recommended. Performance opportunity details will be shared as they arise.
SENIOR 2 (AGES 14 - 18)
Tap: Senior 2 Wednesdays 5:15 - 6:15
This 60-minute class challenges teen dancers to expand their tap vocabulary, refine their technique, and strengthen their rhythmic skills. Dancers work on clarity of sound, musicality, and more complex combinations while exploring improvisation and the rich cultural history of tap through footage study and discussion. With a focus on both precision and creativity, this class helps dancers continue fine tuning technical proficiency while working to build confidence, artistry, and a strong connection to the music.
Ballet: Senior 2 Tuesdays 5:30 - 7:00
This 90-minute class is designed for teen dancers looking to strengthen their ballet technique, artistry, and physical awareness. Class includes basic physical conditioning, structured barre and center work, with emphasis on alignment, musicality, and performance quality. Whether new to ballet or continuing their training, students will be challenged at an appropriate level in a focused, supportive environment that encourages personal growth and discipline.
Modern: Senior 2 Thursdays 5:30 - 7:00
In this 90-minute class, older teen dancers explore modern and contemporary dance movement through technique, improvisation, and choreography. Drawing from modern, ballet, and jazz foundations, the class emphasizes dynamic physicality, expressive storytelling, and creative risk-taking. Dancers deepen their understanding of movement principles while developing their unique artistic voice in a collaborative, encouraging space. (This class is a requirement for anyone signing up for Troupe: Senior 2). 14 year olds with no experience are recommended to take Senior 1
Troupe: Senior 2 Thursdays 7:00 - 8:00
This 60-minute add-on class offers dancers an opportunity to learn, rehearse and perform additional choreography as part of our Moving Company Dance Troupe - dancers will participate in various community performances through-out the year, and in our Spring Show. Dancers must also be enrolled in Modern: Senior 2, and at least 1 year of dance experience is strongly recommended. Performance opportunity details will be shared as they arise.
Jazz: Senior 2 Mondays 5:30 - 6:30
This upbeat 60-minute jazz class focuses on developing strong technique, musicality, style, and performance quality. Dancers will build flexibility and strength, refine their turns and leaps, and explore dynamic movement while learning energetic choreography inspired by a variety of jazz styles. Whether looking to strengthen their technical foundation or grow as a confident performer, dancers will be challenged and encouraged in a fun, supportive environment.
