Christina Longstreeth

Christina Longstreeth is a choreographer, dance instructor, and musical theater performer based in Brunswick, Maine. She grew up dancing and performing in Pittsfield, Massachusetts eventually making her professional musical theater debut at Barrington Stage Company in their 2013 production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid

She moved to Bar Harbor in 2013 to attend College of the Atlantic focusing her studies on experiential education and museum exhibit design. While living on Mount Desert Island she opened Terpsichore MDI, a dance and creative movement studio in Bar Harbor. During this time she choreographed Shrek and Seussical for Acadia Community Theater, taught dance workshops in schools, and worked with Summer Festival of the Arts as the dance instructor for their performing arts program before moving to southern Maine in 2019.

From 2021 to 2024 she was a principal dancer and choreographer for Resurgence Dance Company. Most recently she has choreographed musicals for Midcoast Youth Theater including Bye Bye Birdie, Oliver! and Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka as well as Honk! for Studio Theater of Bath. 

In her dance career Christina has attended classes, workshops and intensives across the northeast in Boston, New York, and at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. She has completed the dance teacher training program with Discover Dance and is in the process of earning her Certificate in Dance Education from the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). 

In her classes Christina strives to build a supportive and inclusive learning community where students will learn strong technical skills while exploring artistic expression and creativity.
